Some moment of closeness after 2 hectic weeks

Its been a really fulfiling holiday that I am having this time round:

A week of babysiting,
A week of NDP Preview (Crazy for sure, but some nice memories to keep)
Well I just completed casing up one amplifier, very satisfied and I am moving on to another

Finally i get to spend some time with my dear dear. She is lying on the bed singing along to the radio, while i browse the web looking at some of the mods that I am going to engage in the coming weeks.
Well at least we have some close moments tonight, here my dear dear delicately putting on some medication for the warts on my toes.

I am so lucky..!!!

Something to play ard

This was the birthday present from my sister, Mayvis last year. I sort of mess ard with changing its tubes, capacitors and resistors. It no longer look as good although i feel that the music did signicantly improve.

I hope I would be able to recase it beautify the whole thing so that it looks good again.

Silly rain, left me so helpless now, pondering between going to do some dispatch and buy my stuff.

The weekends

The term 3B exam is finally over. Whoop and I have complete like what I should be covering in a term during this holiday, thinking back I really should have taken summer earlier. But then again, summer is a really tough to support, stretched between having money for myself, and books and the course fee, I am so glad that its over.

Nothing will go wrong, can be be wrong or get wrong, I AM GOING TO GRADUATE AT THE END OF THE YEAR. The anticipation for the past 8 years is going to happen at the end of the year.

It has been a really busy weekend this week, even though the exam is over. Sherwyn, Sheryl’s youngest cousin was admitted to the hospital for some urinary infection. Poor boy, you can imagine the amount of pain he have to go through with those medicine and injections. Throughout the whole episode, the people who are the most affected can be no one else but the parents. The father have to run about ferrying Ashley and Megan to tuition and home, he also have to find someone to look after them while he is at the hospital. The mother did not leave the hospital at all. Poor fellows!

Although I did mentioned that I will be starting my diy stuff again right after the exam, it gonna be put off till next week or even later. The weekends have began really crazy. Right after the exam, I went for a dispatch trip up to Ang Mo Kio industrial area and back to Chinatown during the evening jam, it was then followed by a visit to K K hospital to look at Sherwyn. I stay up really late giving all the forums that I have participated in some attention. Arofanatics, diyaudio, head-fi, sgheadphones, Singapore bikes, and various online auctions and store, its crazy. The amount of time spend on these places is realy crazy, sometimes its like a job. It was only until 4am that I decided to go to bed.

The next morning begin rather hastily with a trip in the rain to look after Ashley and Megan at their place. Playing with the kids can be rather tiring though but it takes your mind of some worries at the very least. We had sushi at Sakae at Causeway point and the kids really enjoyed themselves, gorging themselves silly on sushi, Megan was so cute. Ashley is cute too although sometime a little irritating :P, when she wants something. Nonetheless she is a very caring sister who would play and talk to her younger sister. ( I mean at her age, she is quite a sensible sister, well at times)

Through all these time, I am really impressed with my dear Sheryl. Man, she have got patience with the kids. If we were to ever be together and have children, I would certainly want the child to be more like her in that aspect. Perhaps it was the upbringing, my idea of teaching a kid can be rather strict. Afterall my parents were rather short with me and things can get a little brutal at times. Sheryl has really widened my perspective many times, and I have been trying to adapt and change. Perhaps next week should spend some time with grandma, and maybe that little devil, Nicholas. Sort of miss him after seeing Megan and Ashley.

The weekend finally ended with a Mcdonald breakfast, and a trip back in the rain. Gosh..!!

Holiday Holiday

These few days have certainly been tough, most of days are spend alone locked up the in GSR, studying surfing, playing CS(ocassionally, when I need that rush), and the nights have been terrible with all the funny aches coming on all over my body. Calf cramps, stomach ache, headache, my body is aging faster then i have imagined.

Can't wait for tomorrow to be over so that I can play ard with the solder iron again. Been borwsing a bit of the forums and I might just wanna try a few more modification on this player.

This is sort of disgusting though. My work is really not so fantastic, must really concentrate on working it out nicely.

Another day towards the end of the tunnel

Its another day closer to my graduation which is definitely going to take place at the end of the year. Fear is really creeping up on me as I wait impatient for studies to end and the working phase of my life to begin. I have been planning from 16 how my life would be and how going to the university is a must. Now that I am here, almost the end of the tunnel, I am feeling fearful about what is coming. Could the light be from a train? I guess it’s only natural for me to feel this way and the only person who understands why is Sheryl.

The route hasn’t been smooth and along the way I have met some good and bad people, some silly mistakes and most of unforgettable experiences. So tired sometimes.

This summer term for me was certainly very interesting as I try out yet another job, a dispatch rider. Hahahaa..and you could really see the different sort of treatment people give u when u are a dispatch personnel. Some of the office reception are genuine polite and really pleasant to almost everyone, but some got their nose stuck up so high that I could see the shit inside. Why make things difficult, or was it because they feel helpless in the office where they have to throw some weights on people who are perceived to be of lower status. Like what my professor mentioned in my intercultural class, power distance is really prominent and this is definitely not the first time I see such display of attitude. I could still remember how upset I was at a Christmas gathering in my mom’s workplace, so upset that I cried quietly in a room in front of my sister. Does it matter if my grandmother or mother is a cleaner? Are we invited to clean and eat after you superior beings? I swore on that very day that I will never go to another party at that place and I never did.

It is a narcissistic society we live in, how many times have you judge someone by their outlook? How many times did u make a comment without even actually knowing enough of that person? It’s a joke how shallow people can be. How dressing smartly in shirt and pants can get you acknowledgement from people whom you don’t even know! and how people look at you t-shirt, slipper and shorts.

People are so funny as I recall this incident:
Snobbish office lady (sarcastically) :
“Whoa so guai hor, no longer studying come and help your mother clean office?”
Me:
.. yah ..
Mummy:
No lar, he came to have lunch with me. He is still studying, in Uni now.
Snobbish office lady (smugly):
Very guai hor, private uni ah?
Mummy:
SMU
Snobbish office lady(slightly change in attitude):
Whoa, didn’t expect hor.

And she went on asking me about the school and admission and how her daughters, or whoever wanted to enroll into the school. Whole load of bullshit, and she assumed that I have forgotten about the assumptions that she have bestowed on me moments ago. F**kers.

Anyway on a happier note, my term 3b is coming to an end, yeah. Probably might spend the holiday dismantling my cd player again, but then again, I really hope to get the Citibank internship and start early even before the term starts. Nothing beat the joy of not having to worry about finances.
